Shadowhunters Episode 8 Review - Season 2

Hey, angels! It's Wednesday which means... Shadowhunters Review!

Today's episode is Episode 8 - Love is a Devil.

This episode was so confusing! Things were happening and then it weren't. It was a very interesting episode, I admit it.

Isabelle, I don't know what else to say about her addiction to Yin Fen. I mean, I like the idea, I wasn't expecting when it first showed up, but at the same time I don't know what to think about it. I guess I will just continue to show my dissatisfation about the fact that Yin Fen is vampire venom in the show instead of demonic poison/ warlock drug.

And what is going on between Isabelle and Raphael? I'm interested, I'm not shipping them but I think something is coming out of that and I want to see it. Although I want it to be temporary, I wouldn't be bothered if something happen between them. I like the way Raphael treated Izzy in this episode. But I still ship Sizzy, this will never change.

Simon told Clary his true feelings for her. I love Simon, in both books and show, I think he is so cute and he is always on Clary's side. I was already expecting Climon to happen, and to be honest I kinda like it, since I read the books I always thought that they were kinda cute together. But don't get me wrong! I'm Clace as hell and Sizzy as hell. I like Climon but I don't ship it.

As we all know, Valentine did that experiments on his children, so now everybody knows that Clary has pure angel blood and that she can create new runes. The books are coming to life, I love this show.

Malec is having a party! I mean, Magnus organized a party to celebrate Max's first rune ceremony and I love that so much! It's so cute! I missed Max and I was afraid that he wouldn't show up anymore. If you read the books you know he is important.

Meanwhile people start to become weird. Simon just shows his feelings for Clary but now he is kissing Maia?! Maryse goes to say sorry to Jace about Max's comment and now she is trying to kill him?! Alec and Clary were finally getting along and now Clary is blaming Alec for her mother's death and Alec tries suicide?!

I was really confused and I thought that maybe it was someone using that shape-shifting rune to ruin the party (perhaps Valentine). Thank God we have Magnus to notice that something was wrong and that some warlock was doing that, using a spell that uses their fears and weaknesses, ilusions. And Magnus found Iris. His cat but Iris and then it starts the best warlock conflit that I've ever seen! It was amazing! I loved it! It was so intense and Magnus is so powerful and I just loved this scene!

Now something that bothered me a little bit... The fact that Maryse told Alec and Jace that Robert was cheating on her and then told them to not tell Isabelle. I know that I shouldn't be comparing the books to the show all the time but I think this is a relevant detail. In the books Maryse already know that Robert is cheating on her and in that time Izzy is much younger and Maryse told her what was happening so that Isabelle wouldn't trust men and that's why she is like she is about love. She is afraid of loving somebody and trusting somebody because she doesn't want to end up with her heart broken like her mother.
